Tastings in the Guest House
Villa Matilde offers its guests a full experience, consisting of tastings of local speciality food products in partnership with its wines, a true journey of discovery of the flavours of a by-gone era and of the finest culinary traditions.
Everything--the selection of the products, the revision of ancient recipes, the cooking methods--is focused on providing for the guest the natural, high-quality character of our local cuisine.
The menus are drawn up based on pairing with the wines and with what is available seasonally. Every dish is prepared with organic products from the winery garden or from carefully-selected local producers.
Everything is seasoned with the romantic atmosphere characteristic of the winery: the tastings are held, in fact, right in Villa Matilde venerable barrel room.
This rustic, attractive space is ideal as well for hosting large and small special events: ceremonies, wedding receptions, and business luncheons.
The Eleusi Room offers a cosy environment around a fireplace that is also used for cooking meats and soups in earthenware pots. With capacity for 45, it is ideal for luncheons and family celebrations.
The Falerno Room, heated in the winter by its large fireplace, offers seating for up to 100 and is thus perfect for weddings and large parties in its warm, comfortable environment.
In spring, guests can enjoy its superb outdoor area, holding another 60, with grass-covered areas offering a swimming pool, table soccer, volleyball court, children’s play area, gardens, fruit tree groves, and archery area.
The entire wine estate is at the disposition of guests for parties, receptions, and for any occasion that is worth celebrating in the midst of the wealth that the local nature and Villa Matilde have provided.
